Bible Study Groups - Fall 2024
Beginning the first week of September, Cornerstone is hosting several Bible study groups throughout the week to support fellowship and learning about God’s Word. Each group has a specific focus such as reading various books of Scripture, learning how to study the Bible, and practicing spiritual habits. Fall 2024 Reading Plan - Old Testament Books of History
Consider following along with our fall Bible reading plan! This season we will be going through the Old Testament Books of History: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1-2 Samuel, 1-2 Chronicles, 1-2 Kings, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther in the order that they were written. The plan begins on September 8th, and there will be groups that meet every other week to discuss the reading. We hope that you will join us in making Scripture reading a daily habit. Monthly Elder Prayer Night • September 10th, 7:00PM • MPR
If you are struggling with illness or feel disheartened, overwhelmed, etc., we invite you to join the elders from 7:00-8:00 PM in the MPR so that they can pray over you. If you cannot make it in person, you can submit a prayer request online. We would love to pray for you! Submit a prayer request here.
Life Workshop - Substance Abuse & Addiction • September 15th, 1:00-3:00PM • South MPR
This workshop addresses both substance abuse and addiction in general (drugs, alcohol, food, gambling, sex, etc.) We will be discussing what it is, how to identify it, what the underlying problem is, and what the solution is. Daniel Plan Session 2 (Women Only) • 4 Weeks, Beginning September 18th • Room 11 in the Children’s Ministry Building
Ladies, you are invited to join us for the second session of the Daniel Plan curriculum where we will learn about transforming our minds regarding food. Starting September 18th, class will meet Wednesdays, 6:30pm in room 11 in the Children's Ministry building for 4 weeks. Please RSVP to care@cornerstonesimi.com.
CPC Benefit Dinner • September 27th
The Community Pregnancy Clinic of Simi Valley (CPC) is holding its 34th Annual Benefit Dinner on Friday, September 27, 2024. The CPC is a Christ-centered licensed medical clinic that provides compassionate, no cost, life-affirming services and practical support empowering women and men to make pregnancy decisions consistent with the inherent value of every human life. Gatherings
Monthly Elder Prayer Night (every second Tuesday): If you are struggling with illness or feel disheartened, overwhelmed, etc., — we invite you to join the elders so they can pray over you.
Quarterly Member Dinners: Our quarterly all-member dinners provide time to build relationships with each other by sharing a meal, taking the Lord’s Supper, giving church updates, and celebrating what the Lord has done and is doing in the life of Cornerstone. Learn more about membership here.
Student Ministries: Impact (Middle School) meets weekly on Tuesday nights, and The Rock (High School) meets weekly on Wednesday nights. Visit our student ministries and events pages for more information on time and location!
Embracing the Journey for Widows: Embracing the Journey is a fellowship group for widows embracing the journey of widowhood. This group gathers once a month for encouragement, support, social activities, and bible studies. For more details, please call (805) 581-9532
Overcomer’s Outreach: (Mondays in the South MPR from 6:30-7:30 PM) “Set Free” Overcomers Outreach Meeting is a Christian 12-Step Support Group for Alcoholics and Addicts discovering freedom from active addiction through the power of Jesus Christ using God’s authoritative Word.
