Dear Reader,
I am very excited that you’ve chosen to join us for the next section of our Bible reading plan. It is a journey that very few regret beginning.
This season’s reading plan will be through the prophets. Reading these books of the Bible can sometimes feel challenging, with their dense imagery, stern warnings, and complex historical contexts. However, enduring through these passages offers incredible rewards. The prophets reveal God’s heart for justice, mercy, and faithfulness, as well as His unyielding desire to restore His people. Their messages, though rooted in ancient times, speak timeless truths about human nature, the consequences of sin, and the hope of redemption. By persevering, you’ll uncover a deeper understanding of God’s character and His unfolding plan, ultimately pointing to the hope fulfilled in Christ. Stay the course, and you’ll find rich treasures of wisdom and encouragement for your faith journey.
Grace!
Pastor Todd -
Knowing that the Bible is a book about God, before reading, pray that God would help you to learn more about him today. As you read each day’s chapters, consider:
What are two or three things that these chapters taught you about God?
What are two or three things that these chapters taught you about people?
If you believe this passage is from God, what are some changes you plan to make in your life?
Choosing one section of your reading, who are you going to share it with today?
Do I have any questions after I read that I would like someone to answer?
