Deacons at Cornerstone

The purpose of this paper is to clarify how Cornerstone Community Church biblically views and uses the office of deacon. The elders all agree the office of deacon is one that directly supports not only the elders in their call to shepherd the church, but also helps lead, direct and develop those who serve at Cornerstone.

This paper will help you to understand what a deacon is and the office that they hold, how they are identified, the biblical qualifications of a deacon and most practically, how Cornerstone uses this office to serve our church body and our community.

El propósito de este documento es aclarar cómo la Iglesia Comunitaria Cornerstone ve y utiliza bíblicamente el oficio de diácono. Los ancianos están de acuerdo en que el oficio de diácono es uno que apoya directamente no solo a los ancianos en su llamado a pastorear la iglesia, sino que también ayuda a guiar, dirigir y desarrollar a aquellos que sirven en Cornerstone. 

Este documento le ayudará a entender qué es un diácono y el oficio que ocupa, cómo se identifica, las calificaciones bíblicas de un diácono y, más prácticamente, cómo Cornerstone utiliza este oficio para servir a nuestro cuerpo de iglesia y nuestra comunidad.
