Welcome!

If you’re new here to Cornerstone, we would love to connect with you! You can fill out an online connect card and someone on our team will reach out to you as soon as they are able! If you need a Bible, please feel free to ask any of our ushers for one or head over to the information table in the main lobby.

Our mission is to give every individual an accurate picture of God by helping those who believe become fully devoted followers of Christ.

If you’re longing to know Jesus, we’d love to talk with you!

SERMON NOTES ➔

Christian Burkhardt, Elder & Equipping Pastor | “The Greater Declaration”

Synopsis: When Jesus Christ ascended back to the Father, he left a clear “commission” (a duty given for a steward to fulfill) for his followers: make disciples (“a follower of Jesus who is: (1) learning from Jesus, (2) trusting Jesus, (3) becoming like Jesus, and (4) helping others to do the same”). This “commission” is what the church is to be about until he returns. Engrossing ourselves in this “commission” is the only way our lives will make any “gospel” sense. To do this, however, means that all other allegiances become secondary.

Community Group Discussion QUESTIONS:

  1. After hearing Christian preach, what aspect of the Great Commission stuck out to you the most? What are you most excited to learn about?

  2. If “making disciples” of Jesus Christ is the main thrust of the Great Commission, evaluate yourselves with the following questions: (1) How effective am I currently at being a disciple and making disciples? (2) What area of my life is currently a strength in being and making disciples? (3) What area(s) of my life need to change to be more effective at being and making disciples? (4) Where do I need the community to help me?

For weekly group discussion guides related to each sermon, please see our community guides below
