Camp can be an amazing adventure filled with fun, friendships, and unforgettable memories. But it is also an environment that comes with certain challenges, and we want to make sure every student is set up for success.
Parents/guardians, if your student struggles with separation anxiety, extreme temperatures (hot or cold), loud environments, it is important to consider if this trip is the right fit for them. If your student requires time alone so that they can introvert, this trip may not be enjoyable for them.
Additionally, if your student wrestles with mental health challenges like suicidal ideation, self-harm, depression, panic attacks or social anxiety, this camp environment may actually make things more difficult for them. We understand and deeply care for students who face these challenges, and our heart is to love them well by providing environments where they can thrive. Because of that, this may not be the best activity for them to participate in and we are asking that you please speak with a leader before signing up.
Our goal is for every student to have a positive, safe, and memorable experience, so please consider whether this trip is the best fit for your student’s unique needs.
