Ukrainian Refugee Crisis
Please pray & give
Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow — Isaiah 1:17
Dear Cornerstone Family,
Since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24, more than 2 million Ukrainians have fled into neighboring countries, especially Poland and Romania. Cornerstone has long-standing missionary partners in both countries who are seeking to provide food, shelter, and other resources for Ukrainian refugees. Please join us in praying for them and follow the links below to give directly toward their efforts to care for those who have been displaced by this crisis.
Poland — Vance & Jenn Yzbick and Czarek & Ewa Byczkiewicz work together to shepherd four house churches in the city of Łódź, in central Poland. They are currently providing shelter and essentials for 27 Ukrainian refugees, with hopes to provide for up to 30 people. You can donate directly to their efforts to care for refugees below.
Romania — Viorel & Delia Cruceru and Beni & Alina Cruceru work together to shepherd Grace Baptist Church in Slatina, Romania. Viorel also oversees a “Mercy Network” with Children’s Hunger Fund in southern Romania, which distributes food to families in need through partnerships with local churches. Viorel is working with CHF to bring resources to refugees near Romania’s border with Ukraine. You can give to CHF’s “Emergency Relief for Ukraine” fund below.
As we communicate with our partners, we will provide you with updated prayer requests, so please check this page for updates.
May God empower our brothers and sisters to demonstrate his love, protection, and peace to those affected by this conflict.
In Christ,
The Global Missions Team
