This is the second of a three-part workshop exploring the topics of Evangelism and Apologetics (defending the faith). This “Apologetics” workshop is for those that want to dive deeper into the philosophy, methodology, and application of defending the faith. We will begin by addressing what apologetics is as distinct from evangelism and why it is important both inside and outside of the church. This will include a brief comparison of the three main apologetic methodologies – Classical, Evidential, and Presuppositional. We will spend most of our time laying out a framework for how we as Christians should respond Biblically to objections raised from various worldviews and other religions (i.e. atheism, agnosticism, empiricism, post-modern relativism, spiritualism, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witness, etc.) that say things like, “There is no objective truth! Science and evolution prove Christianity false! All religions worship the same god! I am “spiritual,” so I don’t need church! I am “good person,” so I don’t need Jesus! How do you know the Bible is true?”
