The Global Ministry Team was established in 2005 with the purpose of serving the local body as well as our partnerships around the world. It is an enthusiastic group of dedicated people that has evolved with each changing season of life and ministry at Cornerstone. Over the years, the team has been comprised of individuals ranging in age, backgrounds, and experience...all of them passionate about helping "fully devoted followers of Christ" to bridge cultural, geographical, and philosophical barriers to embody and announce the glory of God and His love as seen in the life of Jesus!

Each Team Leader is an advocate for Global Ministry within the community... regularly praying for and serving our partnerships, educating themselves in the study of missions, training and equipping God's people within Cornerstone, and committed to caring for those that are an extension of our body--both locally and overseas!

Meet the team below:

  • TODD NIGHSWONGER (Pastor & Overseeing Elder)

Todd’s heart for Cornerstone is that we would be a family of men and women who know God rightly, worship Him intimately, are transformed by Him fully, and are unleashed to join Him on His amazing mission.

  • JARROD HAHN (Team Chairman)

Jarrod has worked in mortgage banking for all of his US career doing project management, analytics, and executive support. Jarrod and his wife, Nicole, served as missionaries sent from Cornerstone to Romania from 2003 - 2005.

Jarrod has been on the Global Team since 2013. As a member, he's seen how the Lord has brought together a strong dynamic of individuals to come together as a team and wrestle through life changing decisions.

  • HEATHER BRUHN (Global Ministry Coordinator)

Heather came from a banking operations and risk management background, but now works as the Global Ministry Coordinator for Cornerstone. She also serves as a birth doula to women & families in Ventura County and the San Fernando Valley.

Heather joined the global team in 2017, but had her first experiences with missions while joining many short term trips to Mexico from 2005-2008. She is married to Richard and they live in Moorpark with their two young daughters.

Bob and Pam have been married for 37 years. Bob is an MFT and Pam is an RN. They have three children and 5 grandchildren: Amy, married to Jason Smith (Taylor 11, Jackson 7), Michael, married to Ciara Young (Holly 2), and Laura, married to Thomas Scherer (Noah 10, Emma 8) - serving in a jungle in Southeast Asia.

Bob and Pam have served on the Global Ministry Team since early 2015. God has placed His heart for the nations in their hearts from early on. Pam thought they would be the ones to go, but God sent their daughter and has called them to stay to serve, counsel, and house missionaries and others for the past 30+ years.

Growing up as a Missionary and Pastor's kid, Sarah has lived much of her life overseas. After college, Sarah did a Journeyman term in Belgium and fell in love with the place and the people. She took a job after her term ended working for a local church and running a local non-profit called Serve the City. Now living in the States, Sarah is married to a Worship Pastor (who also happens to be her best friend), and manages a non-profit that focuses on soul-care, spiritual formation and apologetics.

Ryan works as a professor and administrator at Eternity Bible College. He is married to Nicole and they have 3 small kids. Before coming to Simi Valley, Ryan spent two years teaching in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
