Every believer at Cornerstone should be a part of a group of people committed to Christ, His mission, and each other, enabling us to live life together in community, not in isolation. Jesus never intended for us to live the Christian life alone, and we suggest that we cannot fulfill what was designed for our spiritual growth on our own. We need one another. Being part of a community provides the perfect setting for growth and fellowship and becoming who we are meant to be in Christ.
The word ‘community’ is a compound word from ‘com,’ which means with and ‘unity,’ which is obvious! So, our groups are places where we can live life in ‘unity with’ other like-minded followers of Jesus.
At Cornerstone, we are continually creating new opportunities to gather in-person or online, so there is undoubtedly a place for you to plug-in and live life in community!
Hebrews 10:24-25 says: ‘Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together as some people do but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near ’ (NLT). Make sure you are not neglecting this important part of your spiritual life!
